Whitney is trying to lose some of the weight she gained since being diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) — which caused her to gain 200 lbs. in one year. Buddy is also trying to lose weight. But he’s getting paid for it.

On Twitter, he posts photos of all the healthy food he’s about to eat via the Pact App. It uses financial stakes to help dieters achieve health goals. Every week Buddy makes a pact to eat healthier. If he doesn’t reach it, he has to pay others. If he does, they pay him. He’s not making a million — rewards generally are $0.30 to $5 per week – but of course, that’s not the point.
