Game of Thrones enthusiasts may have to wait until next year for a new round of episodes, but they will be able to console themselves in the meantime with twelve different varieties of GoT-themed wines available for pre-order now. Each named for a different house or group from the hit HBO fantasy series, the wines include a range of varietals, from Pinot Noir to Chardonnay. And loyal viewers will probably want some of these Game of Thrones Wine Charms. So during group watching they don’t lose track of their glass of Wines of Westeros Sauvignon Blanc.
The creator of the wines, Sydney-based advertising agency Common Ventures, is assuming a great deal of trust and responsibility in their intended customer base. After all, wine has more the once been a source of show-shaking trouble on the show (IMDB sample synopsis: “The would-be assassin wine vendor trails behind the Khaleesi on foot, naked and tied to her horse.”) And the wine is perfect for a Purple Wedding , too. Game of Thrones will enter its much-anticipated fourth season next April.
