On the new variety/celeb competition show I Can Do That, professional ballroom dancer and former Dancing with the Stars champion Cheryl Burke gets taught how to dance. Hip hop, that is. The hip hop dance troupe Jabbawockeez will teach Burke and her I Can Do That partner Joe Jonas how to dance like them.
Burke said: “I’m usually the dance teacher so it’s refreshing to be taught. I have zero hip hop dance experience. All I’ve learned is ballroom. Having to un-train my body after ballroom dancing for the past 20 years is going to be a huge challenge.” Burke added that she’ll “take a more casual approach” to hip hop. I Can Do That airs Tuesdays at 10pm on NBC.
