In the Season 1 finale of FAM, “This is Fam,” Clem’s (Nina Dobrev) father Freddy (Gary Cole) surprises her with video left by her deceased mother Molly — video for her wedding day. Also, Clem and her fiance Nick (Tone Bell) run into trouble getting their marriage license the day before their wedding. Clem is told that her “pretend” wedding in Vegas to her gay best friend Ben (Blake Lee) actually took and is legal. When she tracks him down in a restaurant, to demand a quick divorce, Ben is sipping martinis on a date with an Englishman named David.
David is portrayed by Ryan Cartwright. The Englishman is known for his role son Kevin Can Wait (Chale Witt), Sin City Saints (Wade), Mom (Jeff), Alphas (Gary), Bones (Vincent Nigel-Murray), and Mad Men (John Hooker), among others.
