In the 9JKL episode “High Steaks,” Josh (Mark Feuerstein) discovers that the monthly racquetball game his father Harry (Elliot Gould) and brother Andrew (David Walton) say they have is actually a steak-and-scotch dinner. Their wives, Judy (Linda Lavin) and Eve (Liza Lapira) reluctantly spend the evening together.

One of the guys at the steak-and-scotch dinner is Massimo who is portrayed by Robert Costanzo. Costanzo has been in everything from Friends (Joey Tribbiani Sr) and NYPD Blue (Alfonse Giardella) to L.A. Law (Vinnie La Rosa) and The White Shadow (Mr. Pettrino), among many others. Fun fact: Costanzo made his acting debut in the 1975 Sidney Lumet classic Dog Day Afternoon as a New York City police officer. He will appear next on the big screen in the biopic Frank and Ava about Frank Sinatra and Ava Gardner. 9JKL airs Mondays at 8:30pm on CBS, right after The Big Bang Theory, and before Kevin Can Wait.
