In The Big Bang Theory episode “The Retraction Reaction,” two recurring characters appear after Leonard (Johnny Galecki) gives an embarrassing radio interview. Leonard’s interview is with real-life “Science Friday” NPR host Ira Flatow. The aftermath of the interview is so bad that Leonard and his friends worry about his future at the university. That’s where the second guest star walks in, HR director Mrs. Davis.
Mrs. Davis is portrayed by Regina King. She is known for her roles on American Crime, The Leftovers (Erika Murphy), Southland (Det. Lydia Adams), and 227 (Brenda Jenkins), among others. King is also well recognized for her roles in the films Jerry McGuire (Marcee), Enemy of the State (Carla Dean), and Ray (Margie Hendricks). The Big Bang Theory airs Mondays at 8pm on CBS.
