For the second round of Judge Cuts on America’s Got Talent, music producer DJ Khaled will help the judges chose 7 of the 20 acts to advance to the Live Shows. One of the 20 acts DJ Khaled will watch is magician Xavier Mortimer. This is Mortimer’s second time competing on AGT. He didn’t make it past the Judge Cuts in Season 10 (2015). Why he wants to win AGT this time is a bit more mysterious as Xavier already has a show in Las Vegas. Every night be performs at 7pm at Planet Hollywood Resort’s Sin City Theater on the Strip.
No matter what his motives are on AGT (AGT has a pretty good track record of enhancing ticket sales), Xavier continues to challenge himself with tricks. Check out his jump rope illusion below. It’s less than a minute long but somehow he gets himself to levitate in a park while jumping rope. “And it’s not a camera trick!” he says. America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
