Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta follows a number of young people in the A who either grew up famous (Bow Wow aka Shad Moss) or were raised by famous hip hop artists. Reginae Carter is one of the latter. She is the 17-year-old daughter of rapper Lil’ Wayne and his ex-wife Toya Wright. Reginae knows her “life is lit” and she expects a lot more out of it. While Toya might occasionally tell Reginae no, Toya will always have her daughter’s back.
Toya Wright was 15 when she had Reginae. She met Lil Wayne when she was 12, he was 14. Their marriage lasted almost two years (2004 to 2006). Toya is a singer, too, formerly of the R&B group Xscape (see link above) with Tameka “Tiny” Harris (mother of Zonnique on GUHHATL) and Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss. In 2011, Toya married Mickey “Memphitz” Wright. They have since appeared on Untying the Knot and Marriage Boot Camp and officially separated in 2015.
