The protagonist in the Hallmark Channel movie Birthday Wish is director Gwen Turner (Jessy Schram). On her 30th birthday, she makes a wish to see into her future — 10 years away. But when she sees herself at 40, she’s surprised to learn that she’s not married to her current boyfriend who she expects is about to propose. In the future, she’s married to her co-worker, creative director Dave.
Dave McKinley is portrayed by Luke Macfarlane. He’s known for his roles on The Night Shift (Rick Lincoln), Mercy Street (Chaplain Hopkins), Smash (Patrick Dillon), Satisfaction (Jason Howell), and Brothers & Sisters (Scotty Wandell), among others. Birthday Wish premieres on January 21 at 9pm on Hallmark Channel. It will air again on Jan 22 at 5pm, Jan 28 at 7pm, Jan 29 at 1pm, Feb 4 at 3pm and Feb 26 at 7pm.
