The protagonist of Rosewood, Dr. Beaumont Rosewood Jr. (Morris Chestnut), is a pathologist working with the Miami PD. He’s successful, handsome, and single. But there is a catch: he has two holes in his heart and has about ten years left to live. Is it Rosewood’s health condition that keeps him from getting emotionally attached to a woman? That might explain why he’s not in a committed relationship and why he hasn’t brought his current lady friend Dr. Kat Crawford to meet his mother, Donna (Lorraine Toussaint). P.S. Kat is the therapist of Rosewood’s partner, Detective Villa (Jaina Lee Ortz).
