Eric Somuah was known by his friends and colleagues as the life of the every party. He was the top salesman at a Bethesda car dealership where he sold Jaguars and Range Rovers. On June 4, 2012, the 34-year-old didn’t show up for work, which was unusual. Two days later, police found him dead in his apartment. He died from a single gunshot to the head.
The evening of his death, Somuah had sex with his next door neighbor, Katrina Ben. They were lovers. But when Ben found out that she wan’t the only woman in Somuah’s life, she snapped. That night, after having sex with Somuah in his apartment, Ben shot him execution style. And then she snuck back to her apartment. She was interviewed by the police, but detectives ruled her out as a suspect because she was so “convincing.” Luckily, the gun was found on the shoulder of a highway and it was traced back to Ben. She bought it in 2004. In February 2015, Ben was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. The murder case of Eric Somuah will be featured on Dateline NBC on June 26 at 10pm.
