Former child actress Drew Barrymore of E.T. fame is now a 40-year-old mother of two. She’s come a long way from being the 14-year-old who did two stints in rehab for drug and alcohol abuse and got emancipation from her parents. In addition to her growing family and successful film career – her third rom-com with Adam Sandler, Blended, is coming out this month – she’s also pursuing interests outside of Hollywood. She just published a book of her heart photography.
When asked about her relationship with her mother, Jaid Barrymore, she told Marie Claire, “I’ve always been empathetic toward my mom, and I was even more so when I had a kid and we had a really amazing conversation about it,” Barrymore said of her mother. “However, it hasn’t enabled me to lessen the distance. It’s the hardest subject in my life.”
