Dan Aykroyd famously busted some ghosts before he started selling scary vodka. He also spent some formative time at Saturday Night Live, where three of the new Ghostbusters honed their craft. Though not yet finalized, it looks like the new all-female Ghostbusters cast will star Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon. Paul Feig will direct. Feig directed McCarthy and Wiig in the wildly popular Bridesmaids.
Aykroyd, a co-writer on the original screenplay, told the Hollywood Reporter: “The Aykroyd family is delighted by this inheritance of the Ghostbusters torch by these most magnificent women in comedy.”
