People is launching its very first awards show, the People Magazine Awards, which honors influential people in the entertainment business. The magazine is producing a two-hour star-studded event at the Beverly Hilton which will air on NBC, Thursday, December 18 at 9pm. Actors Jeff Bridges (The Gift), Jon Hamm (Mad Men), Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting (Burning Bodhi), John Krasinski, Chloe Grace Moretz, Jennifer Aniston (Cake), Kevin Hart (The Wedding Ringer), Kate Hudson, Michael Keaton (The Birdman) and Jennifer Lopez will appear on stage.
Music guests include three out of the four judges on NBC’s The Voice. Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams and Adam Levine’s Maroon 5 will perform, as will 5 Seconds of Summer, but no Blake Shelton.
