The popular all-female band Fifth Harmony just released a video for their hit song Sledgehammer. It features all five young women – Ally Brooke, Camila Cabello, Normani Hamilton, Dinah Jane Hansen, and Lauren Jaurequi – but there’s not a lot of synchronized dancing, as one might expect from such a dynamic ensemble. Instead the video is dominated by posing. Clad in matching, white flowing gowns, the women gather and sprawl around on a number of pedestals projecting an image reminiscent of a Kardashian holiday card. (P.S. The reality TV family is not doing one this year, but that’s another story.)
What do 5H fans think of Sledgehammer? Lots don’t like the fact that Camila gets all the attention. “I am a fan of fifth harmony not 1 harmony so I want to see all of the girls,” wrote Hunt Bunny. “They can all sing so why have Camila be the star of the show.” That’s probably exactly how Kylie Jenner feels about her supermodel sister Kendall, the new face of Estée Lauder.
