Fans of ABC’s unforgiving drama Revenge get ready. In the trailer for Season 4, Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe) is strapped to a gurney in an asylum. But when she gets out, she’s going to turn the tables–and the show’s focus will flip. Victoria’s goes after the young woman who destroyed her family and took away her freedom, Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp), for the first three seasons of the popular drama. Grayson has some catching up to do.
To catch up viewers who want to tune in for the first time: From the first day they met in the Hamptons, Victoria never liked Emily. And her instinct not to trust Emily was spot on–because Emily is really Amanda Clarke, daughter of David Clarke who allegedly died after being accused of a crime he didn’t commit. For the past three seasons, Emily aka Amanda has been seeking his revenge. “I’m going to kill them all,” she once said of Victoria’s family. But there’s a twisted twist. Spoiler alert: David Clarke (James Tupper) isn’t dead. And it turns out, he’s not the most stable character of the wicked lot. His reappearance will no doubt cause Emily/Amanda and Victoria to continue to do terrible things to each other. The season 4 premiere of Revenge will air on Sunday, September 28.
