Magician Jeki Yoo of South Korea is competing on Season 12 of America’s Got Talent. No one’s story of loss is the same but like former AGT magician Jon Dorenbos (who also played for the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles), Jeki turned to magic after his mother died. Jeki teamed up with female magician Elli K. Park, and together they became well known for their “Quick Change” performance (video below). They set the Guinness World Record for changing into 9 outfits in 30 seconds.
Jeki recently left Korea to move to the United States and pursue his solo career as a magician. He recently performed at the prestigious Magic Castle — the private clubhouse of the Academy of Magical Arts in Hollywood. Jeki said after the show that “one of my dreams came true.” America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
