Paranormal Lockdown tends to investigate buildings that have been abandoned for decades, sometimes centuries. But when they go to New Orleans to check out what’s known as the Rampart Street Murder House, they feel the presence of two spirits who died in the house, just 10 years ago. A young attractive couple named Zachary “Zach” Bowen and Adriane “Addie” Hall — both bartenders in the French Quarter — moved into the apartment above a voodoo temple on Rampart Street. They had been dating for over a year, and survived Hurricane Katrina together.
But something snapped in Bowen in October 2006. He strangled Hall, 30, to death and then dismembered her in the bathtub before cooking some of her body parts. Days later, Bowen, 28, jumped off a building in the French Quarter. When police investigated the suicide and went to Bowen’s apartment, they found Hall’s head and hands in pots on the stove; arms and legs inside the oven. On Paranormal Lockdown, inside the house (see photo below, blue tarp on roof), Nick says he smells something burning. When he follows the scent and looks into the bathroom he says he feels nauseous. Katrina looks at the bathtub and says, “It’s just so sad.” Paranormal Lockdown airs Fridays at 9pm on TLC.
