In the Gotham episode ‘Mad City: Red Queen,’ while Gordon (Ben McKenzie) goes on a psychedelic trip thanks to a red substance blown into his face by Mad Hatter (Benedict Samuel), Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) struggles with Nygma’s (Cory Michael Smith) new relationship with blond bombshell, Isabella. In the Batman comics of the early 2000s (No Man’s Land), there was a Russian assassin named Isabella Cheranova who was codenamed Echo. She had a device implanted in her head which enabled her to telepathically read the thoughts of people and computers.
Isabella is portrayed by Chelsea Spack who portrayed Kristen Kringle last year on Gotham. You wouldn’t know it by her stellar performance but Gotham marks Chelsea Spack’s television debut. She studied acting and earned her MFA from Rutgers University. Gotham airs Mondays at 8pm on Fox.
