On the six-part TV series Greatest Hits, singer Kim Carnes will be featured. She’ll perform her famous 1981 hit song “Bette Davis Eyes” which won her one of her two Grammys. Carnes won her second Grammy two years for her instrumental composition for the motion picture Flashdance (1983) starring Jennifer Beals.
The legendary actress Bette Davis said she loved the song “Bette Davis Eyes.” She wrote in her 1987 memoir 1987 memoir This N’ That: “It was a thrill to become a part of the rock generation.” Carnes was able to perform the song for Davis just before she died in 1989, at the age of 81. Greatest Hits: 1980-1985 airs Thursday, June 30 at 9pm on ABC.
