In Gotham‘s Season 2 finale episode “Wrath of the Villains: Transference,” directed by The White-Haired Woman (Kit Flanagan), Hugo Strange (B.D. Wong) proves that he can bring the dead back with their memories. He did it with Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith), and he can do it again with Detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie). Strange evokes the memories of Jim’s fiancee Dr. Leslie “Lee” Thompkins who left Gotham after she lost their unborn baby and Jim was set up for murder and sentenced to life in prison.
Dr. Leslie “Lee” Thompkins is portrayed by Morena Baccarin. (In real life, she and McKenzie welcomed a baby girl, Frances Laiz Setta Schenkkan, in March 2016.) Baccarin is also known for her roles on The Flash (the voice of Gideon), The Mentalist (Erica Flynn), the mini-series The Red Tent (Rachel), Homeland (Jessica Brody), V (Anna), Heartland (Nurse Jessica Kivala), Stargate SG-1 (Adria), and Firefly (Inara Serra), among others. Baccarin is also recognized for her roles in the films Deadpool with Ryan Reynolds (Vanessa) and Spy with Melissa McCarthy (Karen Walker). Gotham airs Mondays at 8pm on FOX.
