In the Good Witch episode “Driven,” just as Cassie (Catherine Bell) and Sam (James Denton) start to ignite their romance, Cass gets a surprise visit from a tall, dark, handsome stranger named John. Well, he’s not a stranger to Cass – they knew each other in college. John has moved to Middleton — but what exactly he wants (besides Cass) remains a mystery.
John is portrayed by Dan Payne. Americans will recognize the Canadian-born actor from his roles in the films The Cabin in the Woods (Matthew Buckner), Watchmen (Dollar Bill), and as one of the Lycan creatures in Underworld: Awakening. Payne most recently co-starred in the Hallmark movie All Yours with Nicollette Sheridan. A Good Witch airs Sundays at 9pm on Hallmark.
