Hollywood movie star Anya Taylor-Joy (The Queen’s Gambit, The New Mutants, The Witch) stars in the forthcoming food-themed, dark comedy horro film The Menu.
The premise: “A young couple travel to a remote island to eat at an exclusive restaurant where the chef has prepared a lavish menu, with some shocking surprises.”
Anya plays the not-impressed Margot; Nicholas Hoult plays her partner Tyler. The cultish hand-clapping chef is portrayed by Ralph Fiennes.
As one fan replied: “If there’s Anya Taylor Joy in a horror film, you know the film is gonna be sick.”
The reported $35 million budget movie was filmed in Savannah, Georgia, and warning: the subject of cannibalism comes up.
The Menu is scheduled for a November 18, 2022 release in theaters, right before Thanksgiving Day.
