On the eighth episode of the TV survival show Castaways, “Hindsight,” Terry continues to enjoy the isolation while thriving on the resources left behind by the Castaways who have quit. Meanwhile, Matt decides where he belongs, while tensions reach a boiling point as food and resources dwindle. Starvation is right around the corner for two Castaways.
Terry Allen is the oldest competitor on Castaways. Her experience in life has proven valuable during this challenge. Prior to the show/competition, the 62-year-old moved back to Agoura, California to take care of her aging parents and their difficulties with dementia. She’s always considered herself as a caregiver. Close to sending her daughter off to college, Terry has been longing for a sense of independence, and she’s now earned it. She may quietly be winning, without a lot of drama, and could really be the breakout star of Castaways. But according to Facebook, if fans could vote on a winner, it would likely be Kenzie or Robbie. Castaways fans love the odd couple. (And they hate Richard and Sawyer.) Somehow very little is said about Terry on the official Facebook page. She tends to be described simply as “the older woman.” Castaways airs on Monday, September 17 at 8pm and 9pm.
