In the Say Yes to the Dress episode “There’s a Shark in the Salon!,” Shark Tank star Barbara Corcoran comes to Kleinfeld. She’s not shopping for herself. The real estate mogul has been married for more than 25 years to Captain William F. Higgins of the U.S. Navy (who later became an FBI agent!). Corcoran is at Kleinfeld to help her friend Maggie choose the perfect wedding gown for her big day. Just like on Shark Tank, Corcoran isn’t afraid of sharing her opinions about business or bridal dresses. It’s sink or swim for bridal dress consultant Randy Fenoli when Corcoran comes to Kleinfeld.
“I kinda promised myself that I wouldn’t be honest, that I would just go along for the ride, but…” says Corcoran. When bride-to-be Maggie comes out in Dress #2, Corcoran doesn’t mince her words. “This dress is terrible.” Hey, she’s not saying that to be mean. “I just want to see her in the perfect dress,” says Corcoran. While “waiting to be wowed,” Corcoran eventually gets her way — she gets to see Maggie in the perfect dress. Say Yes to the Dress airs Saturdays at 8pm on TLC.
