In the 9JKL episode ‘Stalker Status’, Josh (Mark Feuerstein) discovers that his crazy stalker Patty in Los Angeles has followed him to New York. She’s working at his favorite coffee shop. Josh warns doorman Nick (Matt Murray) not to let her into the building. But then Josh is surprised and hurt to learn that Patty isn’t in town for him. She’s obsessed with an up-and-coming actor. Josh’s mother Judy (Linda Lavin) tries to win back the attention of Patty.
Stalker Patty is portrayed by Cheri Oteri. She’s best known for her characters on Saturday Night Live (Barbara Walters, Spartan cheerleader with Will Ferrell). She’s also recognized for her roles on Just Shoot Me! (Maya’s incompetent assistant Cindy, for which she was nominated for an Emmy), and in the films Scary Movie (Gail Hailstorm), Grown Ups 2 (Penny), Liar Liar (receptionist Jane), and Inspector Gadget with Matthew Broderick (Mayor Wilson), among others. 9JKL airs Mondays at 9pm on CBS, right after Superior Donuts, and right before Scorpion.
