The Hallmark Channel movie “The Christmas Train” is about journalist Tom Langdon (Dermot Mulroney) and his ex-girlfriend Eleanor (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) who reunite on a cross-country train. It’s been years since they’ve seen each other but their romantic feelings for each other are still there. Tom is encouraged by a stranger he meets on the train, a woman named Agnes, to pursue Eleanor and to not to give up. Tom wisely takes her advice.
[Cusack was nominated for an Oscar for her role in Working Girl]
[The Christmas Train is based on David Baldacci’s bestselling novel]
Agnes is portrayed by Joan Cusack. She’s known for her roles on Shameless (Sheila Jackson, with Dermot Mulroney!), and in the films Working Girl (Cyn), In & Out (Emily), Married to the Mob (Rose), Sixteen Candles (Geek Girl, see photo below), and Class (Julia), among many others. Fun facts about Cusack: She’s the voice of Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl in the Toy Story movies; she’s the big sister of actor John Cusack (Say Anything), and she made her acting debut in the 1980 classic film My Bodyguard with Matt Dillon (Shelley). The Christmas Train premieres on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, November 25 at 8pm.
A JC Penney version of Kentaro’s line is going to be a bit of cheap tulle on a long-sleeved tee-shirt, kinda like Joan Cusack’s shirt in Sixteen Candles. #ProjectRunway pic.twitter.com/OiPyH6dt4O
