In the Lifetime movie A Mother’s Crime, Danielle (Jenny Gabrielle) is a young woman who’s cheating on her husband. Encouraged by her lover, she kills her husband and then goes on the lam with her infant daughter Cali. Danielle is eventually caught and goes to jail. When released from prison, she’s determined to get her daughter (Allyson Harbert) back. Danielle’s big obstacle (other than the law) is her sister Nikki who has custody of Cali, who is terrified of her crazy mother.
Nikki is portrayed by April Bowlby. She is known for her roles on Two and a Half Men (Alan’s gorgeous and ditsy girlfriend Kandi, see link above), Drop Dead Diva (Stacy Barrett), and How I Met Your Mother (Meg), among others. A Mother’s Crime premieres on Lifetime on Friday, October 6 at 8pm.
