On the Botched episode “To Implant or Not to Implant…That Is the Question,” Drs. Paul Nassif and Terry Dubrow have a consultation with British TV personality Rodrigo Alves, who E! describes as an “international plastic surgery junkie.” According to Alves’ website he has appeared on 52 TV shows to date, including reality and documentary shows in 38 countries. This isn’t his first time visiting the Botched plastic surgeons. Last year, he was having trouble breathing and wanted a smaller nose. Nassif said he could help with the breathing but wouldn’t make the nose smaller. Alves declined Nassif’s recommendation and went ahead and had three rhinoplasty surgeries (nose jobs) over the past year. Nassif says “that’s crazy” as it takes one to two years for a nose to heal after just one surgery.
This time around, Nassif tells Alves the surgeries have “destroyed the tissue, the skin is no good.” Nassif warns him that if he assaults his skin again, while it’s healing, there’s a chance that the nose could turn black and fall off. Botched airs Sundays at 9pm on E!
