In the Hallmark Channel TV movie Autumn in the Vineyard, two attractive young people claim ownership to the Sorrento Farm and its vineyard. Like two children who are forced to share a room, they literally divide the house and vineyard with yellow tape. The woman, Frankie, considers herself a grape whisperer while the man, Nate (Brendan Penny), applies his knowledge of science to reap the most grapes. To settle the question of ownership, the two agree to a bet – whoever grows the most grapes at the end of the harvest wins. During the peak of the contest, Nate confesses to his rival Frankie, “I found myself thinking about you,” and love ensues.
Frankie is portrayed by Rachael Leigh Cook. She’s known for her roles on Perception (Kate Moretti), Psych (Abigail Lytar), Las Vegas (Penny Posin), and Dawson’s Creek (Devon), among many others. Cook is also recognized for her roles in the films Josie and the Pussycats (Josie), She’s All That with Freddie Prinze Jr. and Get Carter with Sylvester Stallone. Autumn in the Vineyard premieres on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, October 8 at 9pm. It will air again on October 9 at 5pm, October 15 at 7pm, October 16 at 1pm, and October 22 at 3pm.
