On the fifth week of Blind Auditions on The Voice, the coaches are delightfully surprised to hear Whitney and Shannon perform the Fleetwood Mac song “Landslide” (the Dixie Chicks version). At first, the coaches thought they were listening to one singer (as usual on The Voice) but then they heard two voices when the sisters broke into harmony. All the coaches turned around and praised the sisters for their harmony. But it was Alicia Keys who had the most persuasive pitch.
“There’s no box for you. You’re everywhere. And I’d love to help you get everywhere,” says Keys. “The world needs the two of you. You represent the future.” The sisters held hands as Keys stood up to preach: “Let’s bust down those stereotypes and break those walls down together, forging through major sisterhood.” The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC. P.S. Whitney is the sister with the shorter hair, she’s 25; Shannon is 23.
