On the Below Deck episode ‘The One Where the Charter Guests Almost Die,’ on the last day of the charter, Captain Lee Rosbach complains that he’s been looking out dirty (salty) windows for the past three days. So he “chews on somebody’s ass” about it. That somebody is Bosun Kelley Johnson. When Captain Lee complains to Kelley about the windows, Kelley tries to defend himself and Deckhand Lauren Burchell but the Captain doesn’t want to hear it. “Do you really want to go to war over this?” asks the Captain who thinks Kelley should step up and apologize instead of “wallowing in self-pity.”
Kelley says he’ll take care of it but says to the camera (alone): “He (Captain Lee) won’t pick on Kate. He won’t mess with the Stews. He’s terrified of (Chief Stew) Kate. And that makes my job more difficult because then he just comes after me.” Below Deck airs Tuesdays at 9pm on Bravo.
