In the Hallmark Channel movie The Convenient Groom, a famous celebrity relationship expert, Dr. Kate Lawrence (Vanessa Marcil), is dumped by her fiance Bryan. To help her avoid public humiliation, Kate’s childhood friend Lucas Wright does his best to protect her reputation. While doing so, the couple falls in love.
Lucas is portrayed by David Sutcliffe. This isn’t the Canadian-born actor’s first time on Hallmark. He recently starred in Charming Christmas during the holidays. Sutcliffe is also recognized for his roles in the LMN movie Hunting Season and on Proof (Dr. Len Barliss), Cracked (Detective Aidan Black), Private Practice (Officer Kevin Nelson), Gilmore Girls (Christopher Hayden), and The Division (Jonah), among others. The Convenient Groom will premiere on June 18 at 9pm on Hallmark Channel. It will air again on June 19 at 3pm, June 25 at 7pm, and June 26 at 11am.
