While Led Zeppelin is being accused of ripping off the song “Stairway to Heaven” from Spirit’s “Taurus” in the late 1960s, Robert Plant continues to stay active and creative on Instagram. On RobertPlantOfficial, Plant posts interesting photos of what he sees during his travels — funny signs at fairs, interesting tombstone engravings, bumper stickers, you get the idea. (Hey, don’t read into this that he takes his ideas from anywhere, jurors!)
But on World Book Day, Plant shared an old photo of him and Jimmy Page reading. He wrote: Happy #worldbookday! May I suggest finding a copy of Neither Wolf nor Dog: On Forgotten Roads with An Indian Elder by Kent Nerburn. Of the book, reviewer Kevin Roddy wrote: “Nerburn exposes the real truth, which whites are unwilling to face: that in “the hunger to own a piece of the earth, we had destroyed the dreams and families of an entire race.” Roddy added, “The truth revealed in this book will be difficult for most whites to face, but it is painfully necessary if healing is ever to begin.”
