On the live finale of The Voice, contestant Koryn Hawthorne sang “Bright Fire,” a song that her coach Pharrell Williams wrote for her. And she nailed it. As Adam Levine said to Koryn after the performance, “you sang it with such joy.” Levine was a little jealous, too. “I want one of those,” he said, about a Pharrell composition.
Pharrell was so proud of Koryn. He stood up from his chair and said, just like the lyrics say, “He is our bright fire!” Pharrell preached. “You did it,” the coach told Koryn. Her eyes gleamed with tears of that joy Levine mentioned.
