On the ABC hit comedy The Middle, the matriarch of the Heck family, Frankie (Patricia Heaton), makes a not-so-innocent remark about her son’s “hot friend” Finn. It’s a classic sitcom situation: Frankie fears her comment was overheard and misconstrued as flirting.
The actor who plays Finn, Matthew Atkinson, is accustomed to playing the hot guy. He’s best known for his role as part-time lifeguard, part-time bartender Austin Travers on The Young and the Restless – who’s currently presumed dead by Genoa City residents but chances are Austin will miraculously reappear. Atkinson also played the not quite as dramatic Zach on Parenthood.
