There are always at least three different storylines running in one 30-minute episode of Modern Family. The episode ‘Closet? You’ll Love It!’ (March 4, 9pm, ABC) is no different. Jay and Claire make a commercial for Jay’s closet business; a peeping Tom in the neighborhood uses a drone to spy on a sun-bathing Gloria; and Haley’s feelings for babysitter Andy get complicated when he gets rushed to the hospital with appendicitis. The big news is the appearance of Andy’s girlfriend Beth. We’ve heard a lot about her – she’s been mentioned in 6 episodes! – but tonight’s the night we get to meet her.
Beth is portrayed by emerging actress Laura Ashley Samuels. She’s best known for her role as “clueless” Courtney on MTV’s Awkward. You can learn a lot about Samuels on Twitter.
