Country singer Eric Church has been busy performing on the road on his “Outsiders World Tour.” He likes pit himself against popularity, saying “They’re the in-crowd, we’re the other ones.” But Church is up for four Grammy Awards — Male Vocalist, Album of the Year and twice for Song of the Year — so technically, he’s in the “in crowd” now. And like other “in crowd” musicians like Madonna, Gwen Stefani, Lady Gaga, Kanye West and Rihanna, Church will also perform live at the Grammy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles (February 8, 8pm, CBS).
Church is encouraging his fans to tune in and use the Shazam app while watching the show. Shazam lets listeners buy the song they hear on the TV. It has other cool features too, including looking up lyrics, buying concert tickets, etc. Shazam will make an insider out of you.
