Season 19 of The Bachelor premiered Monday night. The bachelor, Chris Soules, met 30 young women who want to marry him. After sitting down with each of them for a few minutes, he selected 22 to present with a rose. If you accept his rose, you stay on the show.
Soules was ready to pick bachelorette Tara Eddings but when it came time to present his roses in front of everyone, he noticed (it was difficult not to) that she was drunk. She was swaying. Her eyes were glassy and she started to mumble. But Soules was willing to give the 26-year-old, sport fishing enthusiast another chance. She’s a little rough around the edges but certainly adventurous which is key to the show. When asked what is the most outrageous thing you’ve ever done, Tara replied: “I went to a different country using my identical twin’s passport.”
