The Golden Globe Awards have announced the five actresses nominated for best actress in a television comedy series. They are: Julia Louis-Dreyfus for VEEP, Lena Dunham for GIRLS, Edie Falco for NURSE JACKIE, Taylor Schiling for ORGANGE IS THE NEW BLACK and Gina Rodriguez for JANE THE VIRGIN. Louis-Dreyfus is the favorite. Although she didn’t win last year, JLD won a lot of laughs during the broadcast — she was “caught” eating a hot dog during the ceremony.
The Awards ceremony will take place on January 11, 2015 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The televised event will air on NBC and be hosted by Saturday Night Live alumnae Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
