Actor/screenwriter Justin Theroux is about to be unavoidable, like his fiancée. US Weekly threw a star-studded party for him this week to celebrate his brooding presence on the cover of its men’s mag Details. For the August issue, Theroux is photographed by celeb photographer Mark Seliger and interviewed by celeb journalist Jonathan Miles. Theroux talks about his fiancée Jennifer Aniston and the HBO series in which he stars, The Leftovers. Theroux plays Kevin Garvey, Jr., a small town police chief who’s trying to keep calm while 2% of the world population has gone missing. (It’s based on the 2011 novel by Tom Perrotta.) The Leftovers is on the brink of becoming the next everybody’s-talking-about-it show, like Breaking Bad or Homeland.
Theroux is receiving more public praise this week than usual. While his fiancée gushed to Women’s Wear Daily that “he’s just so beautiful and handsome to me,” his Leftovers co-star Liv Tyler went on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and confessed that while working with Theroux, she gets distracted by the “bulge” in his pants. A big PR push for Justin. And Liv Tyler’s not even on Theroux’s payroll.
