Producers Steven Spielberg and Oprah Winfrey are busy promoting their new dramedy “The Hundred-Foot Journey.” They’re appearing in TV commercials together and Winfrey has interviewed the star of the film, Helen Mirren, for O Magazine. Mirren plays a restaurant proprietress in the South of France who is threatened by an Indian family who opens a restaurant across the street. Winfrey choose the book on which the film is based, written by veteran Forbes writer Richard C. Morais, as a “favorite summer read” in 2010.
Oprah still holds the #1 slot on Forbes‘ list of The Most Powerful Celebrities. Spielberg is #3. Mr. Morais, whose latest novel is called Buddhaland Brooklyn
