On Season 10 of Flipping Out, house flipper Jeff Lewis travels to Orlando, Florida to meet with Jackie Siegel. She shows him around the site of her 90,000 sq. ft. mansion aka Versailles which is under renovation in Windermere, Florida. The estate has three levels and two elevators, one is gold. Jackie tells Jeff: “It’s pretty much a clean slate, or an empty canvas.”
[The Queen of Versailles won Best Director award at Sundance Film Festival]
Jackie and her husband David Siegel, owner of the time-share company Westgate Resorts, were the subjects of the 2012 documentary The Queen of Versailles. The film starts with the billionaire family starting the construction of the mansion modeled after the Palace of Versailles and follows the family as they are forced to make extreme changes due to the 2008 financial recession. (Construction on the house stopped at that time.) Jackie and David have been married since 2000 and they have eight children together including 10-year-old twins Jacqueline and Jordan. Jackie is 51, David is 82. Flipping Out airs Thursdays at 9pm on Bravo.
