In the This Is Us episode ‘The Tri’p, the “Big Three” adult siblings Kate (Chrissy Metz), Kevin (Justin Hartley) and Randall (Sterling K. Brown) visit their family’s cabin after an emotional Thanksgiving dinner. Randall is angry with his mother (Mandy Moore) for not telling him she knew his birth father from day one. Kevin hopes a trip to the cabin will somehow help Randall — but then the whole boat is rocked when Kevin’s co-star/girlfriend Olivia (Janet Montgomery) makes a harsh comment to Kate. Sloane Sandburg, the playwright who Kevin and Olivia are working with comes to the cabin, too.
Sloane is portrayed by Milana Vayntrub. The Russian-born actress is well recognized for her quirky role as in the AT&T commercials. She’s also appeared on Silicon Valley (Tara), House of Lies (Christy), and ER (Tatiana), among others. Vayntrub has appeared on the big screen, too – most recently in the 2016 film Ghostbusters as the Subway Rat Woman. This Is Us airs Tuesdays at 9pm on NBC.
