Triple-threat Debbie Gibson hit the air waves at the age of 16 when she released her breakthrough album Out of the Blue (1987), which included her hit singles ‘Only in My Dreams,’ and ‘Shake Your Love,’ among other catchy tunes.
The talented teen co-wrote all the songs on the album and became the youngest artist to write, produce, and perform a No. 1 single with ‘Foolish Beat.’ She went on to release several more albums including Electric Youth (1989).

Now 52, the New York native continues to entertain on stage, on TV (she was the night owl on The Masked Singer), and is known to stop and say hello to fans and famous friends whenever their paths cross.
As seen above, Gibson ran into the lead singer of KISS, Gene Simmons, and clarified to her fans that he’s not to be confused with TV exercise personality Richard Simmons whom Gibson jokes was “the original Spandex wearer.”
