The protagonist of the Lifetime movie The Wrong Mommy is working woman Melanie (Jessica Morris). After receiving a big promotion at work, Melanie hires a personal assistant, Phoebe (Ashlynn Yennie), to help with the heavier work load. Often, the job requires Phoebe to help at home, too.
Phoebe starts crossing a number of lines at home with Melanie’s husband and daughter. And on top of that, she’s holding a serious grudge against Melanie’s mother, Carol.
Melanie’s mother Carol is portrayed by Dee Wallace. She’s best known for her roles in sci-fi movies including E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (as Elliot’s mom Mary), Cujo (Donna Trenton), Critters (Helen Brown), The Howling (Karen White), and for her Daytime Emmy Award winning role as Patricia Spencer on General Hospital, among others.
The Wrong Mommy premieres on Lifetime on Friday, July 19 at 8 pm.
