In The Fix episode “The Wire,” Maya (Robin Tunney) convinces Sevvy Johnson’s (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) secret girlfriend, sexy DJ Día Briseño (Vannessa Vasquez) to wear a wire during a rendezvous. Maya believes Sevvy killed Jessica Meyer and she’s determined to prove it. It won’t be easy. While Sevvy’s attorney Ezra Wolf (Scott Cohen) is working to create an alibi for his client, and Sevvy’s ex-wife Julianne Johnson continues to stand by him, for a price.
Sevvy’s ex-wife Julianne Johnson is portrayed by Robin Givens. She’s known for her roles on Riverdale (Sierra McCoy), The Bold and the Beautiful (Dr. Phillips), House of Payne (Tanya), Sparks (Wilma Cuthbert), Head of the Class (Darlene Merriman), and The Women of Brewster Place (Kiswana/Melanie Browne) with Oprah Winfrey, among others. Note: Givens is the ex-wife of former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson.
In her memoir, Grace Will Lead Me Home, Givens writes about “the legacy of domestic violence that has haunted her family for three generations and her own struggle with the problem.” The Fix airs Mondays at 10 pm on ABC, right after American Idol.
