In the NCIS episode “Fragments”, Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and the team meets a Vietnam veteran, former U.S. Marine Ray Jennings (Charlie Robinson) who’s been serving the past 50 years in prison for the murder of fellow Marine Daniel Hall. When Gibbs discovers a 50-year-old tape recording left by Hall, he tries to exonerate Jennings. Gibbs receives the help of Hall’s widow, Claire Hall.
