In the Chicago P.D. episode “Ghosts,” Detective Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) helps take down a meth ring run by a former criminal contact of hers. The guy running the operation is Ron Booth. Upton helped to bust Booth for distribution and now he’s out of jail for good behavior after three years, which Upton thinks is a joke. And Booth is back to business. Upton tells Voight (Jason Beghe) that the only way to close it down is if she revives her old undercover identity, Kelly. (She never had to testify or blow her cover as Kelly to bust him for distribution.) Voight okays the idea but warns her to get Booth so he doesn’t sell more Meth, not to seek revenge for the death of her partner who Booth killed.
Ron Booth is portrayed by Titus Welliver. He is known for his roles on Bosch (LAPD Det. Harry Bosch), Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Felix Blake), Suits (Dominic Barone), The Last Ship (Thorwald), The Good Wife (Glenn Childs), Sons of Anarchy (Jimmy O’Phelan), Deadwood (Silas Adams), and NYPD Blue (Dr. Mondzac), among others. Welliver is also recognized for his roles in two films with Ben Affleck – Argo (Bates) and The Town (Dino Ciampa). Chicago P.D. airs Wednesdays at 10pm NBC, right after Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
