Coach Miley Cyrus on The Voice, Season 13, hasn’t had a problem lining up female powerhouses on her team. The three left who are competing for a spot on the Top 10 are Ashland Craft, Brooke Simpson and Janice Freeman. Ashland is the country girl from South Carolina among the three — and she’s proud of it. (She favors fringe and denim and cowboy boots.) For her Top 11 live performance on The Voice, Ashland’s singing the 2003 Zac Brown Band hit song “Chicken Fried.” It’s number 39 on the Taste of Country‘s list of “Top 100 Country Songs of all Time.”

Brown, who co-wrote the song with Wyatt Durrette, said the song was inspired by the two of them listing off “things that are very southern or characteristic of the South.” That list includes “Cold beer on a Friday night/ A pair of jeans that fit just right,” sweet tea, pecan pie and “a mother’s love.” The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
